When stock certificates were digitized in 2009, these accounts were created at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking to protect the rights of shareholders who hadn't deposited their shares with JASDEC. Since you can't trade directly from a special account, you'll need to open a brokerage account and transfer your shares there if you want to sell them. For selling less than 100 shares, see the next section.

For changes to your address, name (corporate name), or representative, designation or modification of dividend payment methods, procedures for the buyback or additional purchase of fractional shares, or requests for various administrative forms, please contact the securities company where you maintain your account.

You can sell them by making a "buyback request" through your brokerage. If your shares are in a special account, contact Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking.

You can make a "purchase request" to buy the extra shares needed to reach 100. Contact your brokerage, or Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking if you use a special account.

Just submit a dividend transfer form to your brokerage. For special accounts, contact Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking.
