We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your continued support of Yamaguchi Financial Group (YMFG).

 

Guided by our Purpose of “Co‑creating a bountiful future for our regions,” the YMFG Group has practiced management that walks side by side with local communities. Today, the environment surrounding us is undergoing unprecedented change at an accelerating pace, driven by factors such as climate change, population decline, shifts in industrial structures, and digital transformation. These changes are bringing increasingly diverse and complex challenges to regions and regional companies. At the same time, such challenges present not only significant tests for local communities, but also opportunities to unlock new potential.

 

Under the YMFG Medium‑Term Management Plan (FY2025–FY2029), we have set forth our evolution into a “Platformer for Regional Issue Solutions,” sharing risks with regional companies and co‑creating value. To this end, we are moving decisively to establish an “all‑in‑the‑same‑boat” business model, delivering comprehensive support through an integrated combination of financing, equity investment, and solution services.

 

The Sustainability Promotion Committee has been established as a core component of our governance framework to ensure the steady execution of the Group’s Purpose and management strategies. The Committee clearly identifies key themes—such as the transition to a decarbonized society, business transformation of regional companies, and human capital development—as YMFG’s material issues, and works to organically link strategies and initiatives while continuously managing targets and monitoring progress. As Chair of the Committee, I oversee these efforts from a position of responsibility to ensure that they are effective and firmly embedded in management.

 

Sustainability is not merely a response to environmental or social issues; it is management itself—aimed at achieving both corporate value enhancement and a bountiful future for our regions. Through ongoing dialogue with stakeholders, rigorous and transparent information disclosure, and responsible action, we will continue to verify and improve the outcomes of our initiatives and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
