To help build a prosperous future for our communities, we engage in a wide range of social contribution activities, including financial education, volunteer activities, and support for local culture and sports, while fostering strong ties with the communities we serve.
Each summer, the Group’s banks offer financial education programs for elementary school children and their parents or guardians. These include the “Summer Money Management Class for Parents and Children” offered by Yamaguchi Bank and the “Learn with Momiji! Money Management Class for Parents and Children” offered by Momiji Bank. Through quizzes and hands-on activities, the programs provide an engaging way to learn about the role and importance of money and how to manage it responsibly.
In FY2025, 73 elementary school children and their parents or guardians participated in these programs free of charge.
We will continue to promote financial literacy among the next generation by providing opportunities to learn about and reflect on financial matters.

The Group’s banks host regional qualifying rounds of the Economics Koshien, a nationwide financial and economic quiz competition for high school students. Through this competition, we provide opportunities for young people to learn about finance and economics in an engaging and enjoyable way while supporting financial literacy among the next generation.

The Group’s officers and employees support the operation of local sports events, engaging with participants while promoting sports and revitalizing local communities.
・In 2025, 76 officers and employees served as water station volunteers and 81 participated as runners in the Shimonoseki Kaikyo Marathon*1, which attracts approximately 10,000 runners.

At WILD BUNCH FEST., one of the largest outdoor music festivals in western Japan, more than 100 Group officers and employees have volunteered each year since 2023 to help operate the event’s eco-booths.
In 2025, a total of 142 officers and employees volunteered during the two-day event.

Yamaguchi Bank established the women’s handball team “YMGUTS” in April 2018 with the aim of energizing local communities through sports while providing opportunities for athletes to build their careers locally.
The team balances competitive activities with work responsibilities while contributing to the promotion of local sports and the development of future generations.
Through participation in community events, visiting classes at local elementary and junior high schools, and parent-child handball clinics, the team helps strengthen connections with local communities through sports.

Kitakyushu Bank, Yamaguchi Financial Group, YMFG Growth Partners, and YMFG ZONE Planning have entered into a comprehensive partnership agreement with the University of Kitakyushu to foster talent and contribute to regional development.
Through collaborative educational initiatives in a new faculty scheduled to open at the University of Kitakyushu in April 2027, we aim to develop highly skilled professionals capable of leveraging cutting-edge information engineering technologies, as well as digital professionals who can promote green transformation (GX) and contribute to addressing challenges facing local communities.
The sustainable development of regional industries depends on the growth of local businesses and their ability to retain and create jobs. In addition to providing business support to local companies, we will work to create employment opportunities and promote regional economic development by helping companies secure the talent they need and facilitating connections between local employers and job seekers.
Through donation-linked products and contributions to registered nonprofit organizations and local events, we support community development and help address local challenges.
In FY2025, we donated a total of JPY 300 million to Yamaguchi, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka Prefectures through Japan’s Corporate Hometown Tax Donation Program to help sustain and enhance regional healthcare.
